I can almost hear my mother saying: You want a cotton tank top? Here, mother, here! It's good, because it's made of cotton. Mother knows what she knows...
If I think about it, I'm 100% sure that my first underwear was cotton. And I'm not talking about the ones my mother bought me. At first, my mother would choose the best for me, but as time went on, I had the freedom to choose what I wanted to wear, and cotton remained my first choice.
And as the saying goes, first love is never forgotten… my drawer still has a good part full of cotton items: panties , tank tops, bras . Aaaa… and not just white ones like we used to have, now you can find a bunch of colored cotton items .
In fact, I don't think there's anyone who doesn't have panties, bras, and even cotton tank tops in their underwear wardrobe. and it's obvious why.

- It is a harmonizer of body temperature, regardless of the season.
- It can be easily sterilized.
Although it appeared in my life more than 30 years ago, Cotton has a long history and it is not possible to put your finger on the exact year of its appearance. What we know for sure is that cotton fibers were discovered in Mexico about 7000 years before Christ, and the first cultivators are declared to be the Hindus, where clear evidence of cotton crops has been found. It was only in the second half of the 19th century that it reached Europe, where the consumption of flax and hemp was at the forefront.
The fact is that wherever "the cotton passed" it left a good impression.
It was also called the sheep plant, as it closely resembles wool, which is also highly appreciated.
There is also a town in Turkey called the Cotton Castle, Pamukkale (cotton = pamuk), most likely due to its visual resemblance to cotton. The resemblance comes from the fact that this area of terraces and natural beaches, formed in limestone, is incredibly white and you could say it is shaped like cotton flowers.
American banknotes are composed of 75% cotton and 25% linen – in this case we can say that cotton is valuable both literally and figuratively.
